According to the 7th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, personal interviews fall under the category of "personal communications" (section 8.9, page 260) and are cited in-text only. Personal interviews do not need to appear in the reference list. The following is an example of a parenthetical citation: (D. T. Achey, personal communication, January 6, 2025).
