How can I do a subject search in CINAHL (Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature)?

You can map keywords (words you can think of relating to your topic) to unified subject headings. 

Steps:

  1. In “Advanced search” mode, navigate to the “CINAHL headings” tab
  2. Search for subject headings by typing a word on your topic. 
  3. Click the checkboxes next to the relevant subjects on your topic. 
  4. Click on the “Add to search” button. 
  5. Click on the Search button.
